Griffin Museum of Photography

           I spent Saturday morning at the Griffin Museum of Photography for an  informal peer portfolio review hosted by Keith Johnson.  It was a an amazing experience.  I was amazed at some of the work that was displayed there.  I was given some great feedback and going to take what I learned and redo my website.  I am also going to refocus some of my work as well.   I would highly recommend anyone doing the same.   They might see something in your work and point you in a new direction. Griffin Museum of Photography

I spent the morning at the Griffin Museum of Photography in Winchester listening to MaryVirginia Swansongive a lecture about ways to getting your photography published in a book. It was very fascinating and informative lecture about the multiple steps that are involved with getting to have this happen successfully. (Key word is SUCCESSFULLY) If you are considering seeing your work in a book, I would highly recommend her book that she coauthored with Darius D. Himes titled Publish Your Photography Book.

I plan on taking what I learned at my portfolio review and adding to what I learned today and hopefully take my art to the next level.

I am planning on doing my Project 365 again for 2012.  (Actually it is going to be called a 366 because it is a leap year)  I have decided to only post them on Saturday every week.  It should be much less stressful.  Taking the image was the easy part.  Finding the time to keyword and upload was the hard part.
